On an area spanning 1500m², in wellness hotel Unterschwarzachhof in Saalbach Hinterglemm you find pure relaxation.
Saunas, steam baths, whirlpools, indoor and outdoor pools, relaxation oases and a spa area where you get to enjoy massages and treatments, are available to you each and every day. The indoor pool is linked to the outdoor pool via a water gate. On the loungers in the outdoor area you get to enjoy views to the mountains and can enjoy a relaxing, romantic time together as a couple in the basket lounger, or on one of the relax loungers.

With us, Alpine wellness is not about jumping on to a short-term trend, but a tradition that has been alive and well for many years. Alpine Wellness is based on 4 pillars – Alpine character, Alpine indulgence, Alpine fitness and Alpine health. This philosophy is not only reflected in the spa area and in the wellness treatments, but throughout the hotel – all the way through to Alpine wellness cuisine.
Where can I book treatments?
We recommend reserving treatment appointments before you are due to arrive with Der Unterschwarzachhof Reception team. You can telephone us on +43 (0) 6541 6633 or e-mail.
What should I know about treatments?
Please arrive at Spa Reception around 10 minutes before your agreed appointment time (freshly showered and in your bathing robe, in flip-flops or bathing slippers). During the treatments themselves we attentively pamper you and use covering techniques to protect your privacy. All our treatments include a preliminary discussion about your treatment and a brief time to rest afterwards. To tailor your treatment to suit you, before the treatment brief details of what you require and details about your health are gathered. As a courtesy to guests who will follow you, we regret that should you arrive late, your treatment time will be reduced accordingly.
Until what time can I cancel a treatment appointment free of charge?
Please let us know in good time if you are not able to keep to your appointment. You can cancel your session at any time, latest 24 hours in advance, free of charge. In the event of late cancellation, the full treatment price will be charged.
Is there a textile-free zone?
When using the pool, sun terrace and relaxation rooms we would ask that you wear swim-wear. The sauna area is a textile-free area (entry to those aged 16 and over)
Are all areas accessible to children?
Children are permitted access to the swimming pool and to the outdoor pool when they are accompanied by an adult. In consideration of other guests we would ask that an appropriate noise level be maintained. For the Alpen Spa sauna area (textile-free), for the whirlpool and for the plunge pool (textile free) along with the relaxation rooms, entry is only permitted to those over the age of 16.

Where and when is a healthy snack provided?
Healthy snacks are available from 14:00 to 17:00 in the hotel bar area. Bathing robes are permitted but please avoid wearing wet swim-wear. Food and drink cannot be taken into the spa area.
What should I consider when using the fitness room?
We ask that you wear sports shoes and appropriate sportswear when using the fitness area.
Is sustainability considered in the spa area?
Our wood chip heating system sustainably generates heat from our forested land – which means we are able to heat our swimming pool and the outdoor pool with renewable energy.
