The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2025 will take place from 4 to 16 February 2025 on the Zwölferkogel in Saalbach Hinterglemm. Or you can use the ski connection via the 12er X-Press and the Zwölferkogel cable car to follow the races along the tracks.

The race track on the Zwölferkogel
All races are held on the Zwölferkogel in Hinterglemm. A mountain that combines the World Cup slopes of all disciplines with just one finish area. At the 2024 World Cup final, the athletes already had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the mountain a year before the Alpine World Ski Championships in Saalbach.
The women's downhill, super-G, slalom and men's slalom races will be held on the "Ulli Maier" race course, while the men's downhill, super-G, giant slalom, women's giant slalom and the team parallel competition will take place on the "Schneekristall" race course.
Ski operations (all lifts and pistes) in the entire Skicircus are also guaranteed during the SKI World Championships.
Saalbach Hinterglemm & the sport of skiing
Saalbach Hinterglemm has long been a centre of ski sport. Since 1972, when Annemarie Moser-Pröll won a World Cup race here, Saalbach Hinterglemm has established itself as a World Cup venue. The region is known for its outstanding infrastructure and passionate skiing culture. In 1991, the Alpine Ski World Championships were held here, which became known as the Sun World Championships.
